Check your furnace before calling a technician

Check whether the pilot light is working properly if it is not then try to light it again if still not working then call for professional help. Follow the instructions to relight the pilot light. If the light goes off quite often then it is better not to turn it on again until it is repaired by a professional. It is not necessary that when a furnace is not working properly it means that it need to be repaired and needs professional attention.
